About Naija Now
Naija Now is a community-powered information platform for Nigeria. It helps people find and share useful, timely information about what is happening in their communities: electricity, traffic and roads, fuel, market prices, jobs, events, local businesses, and community news.
It is built for all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Anyone can read reports without an account.
How it works
- People with a free account post reports about their own area. Members add areas as they go, so the list of places grows with the community.
- Every report shows who posted it, where, when it was submitted, and when it was last confirmed.
- Other members can confirm or dispute a report, mark it helpful, and comment on it. These counts show how many people agree.
- Reports that get old are marked as outdated, because things like traffic and power change quickly.
- Signed-in members can flag a report that looks misleading, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful.
What Naija Now is not
- It is not an official source. Reports come from community members and are not checked by Naija Now.
- It does not have live access to the power grid, fuel stations, or traffic systems.
- No reports for a place does not mean nothing is happening there. It only means nobody has shared it here yet.
